African Butterfly Mission Statement

"African Butterfly Hairclips" is an entity based in South Africa and has been manufacturing and trading now for the last 5 years .   The principle member for this entity is Thea Gladwin, a female and only member - thus making our company a Women Empowered company.  The Company has the support of the South African Department of Trade and Industry on various projects and financial assistance.

All the products are hand-made locally in South Africa by our African communities.   Each and every item is hand-beaded.  Thus the product goes from OUR hands to YOUR hands!  You can therefore be assured that you have purchased a Fair Trade Item.

African Butterfly also features on the South African Made website supported by the DTI and other entity's  http://www.southafricanmade.com.

The company's Mission is to create employment and opportunities to our African people and to uplift our community's locally whilst at the same time supply such an amazing product to women so that they should never experience a “bad hair day"!  Simply put, if you did have a bad hair day using the African Butterfly would change your situation from bad to stunning!

African Butterfly has been exporting a range of products internationally and have reliable distributors.

The products are of the highest quality and is the only hair product on the market that comes with a one year guarantee.

Are the products patented?

Yes, the products have International Patent and Design Protection.  There are several Patents and Designs Registered so please make sure you purchase the original product.  Please look out for the following marks to ensure you have not purchased a counterfeit product. 

The Original products will have this number  PCTZA2004/000068 on the back of the clip or other marks (USD509926S and USD5107795S).  If you are not absolutely sure that you purchased the original OR want to report any counterfeit goods please contact us at info@africanbutterfly.co.za or info@africanbutterfly.com.au.

How long is the guarantee & what's covered?

African Butterfly (Australia/New Zealand) is passionate about your satisfaction with our products.  If you are not entirely happy with your purchase there is a 10 day return money back policy.  Products will however need to be returned in the original packaging, undamaged along with the brochure you received.  African Butterfly guarantee will fall away if your combs are exposed to water or excessive sunlight.
